Our Story

Dance Arts Theatre is a performing dance group sponsored by West Sound Dance Academy (formerly known as Irene’s School of Dance). We are a non-profit organization established in 1979 specifically for the purpose of promoting fine arts in Kitsap County, in the State of Washington.

We are dedicated to the cultural enrichment of Kitsap County by providing a performance outlet for local teen dancers and by bringing dance to a large cross section of our community.

Each season we present two full productions — our beloved annual Nutcracker in November and a spring production featuring classical or contemporary ballet. Our performances take place at venues throughout Kitsap County.
